5th Round of County Council Grants launched on 1st March 2010

Whats available in round 5:

In round 5 WCC are offering a strategic grant for 3 year activity:

Supporting People: Mentoring Support Project for Vulnerable People
This strategic grant will provide essential mentoring support for vulnerable people who are in need of housing related support (with a specific focus on people who are known to the criminal justice system).  You will be expected to work throughout the County, responding to need with support from Worcestershire Supporting People and West Mercia Probation Trust.   A total fund of £225,000 is available for organisations to apply for, preferably in a single grant.

Funding available for succesful organisation from July 2010.

WCC are also offering two community grants for one year/one off activity.

First Base Arts: Grants to help VCS organisations to show how the arts can have a positive impact by bringing communities together and for communities to take an active and participatory role in the arts.

A maximum of £500 can be applied for and money will be available to succesful organisations from July 2010.

Celebrating Diversity:  Grant to help VCS organisations celebrate diversity through raising knowledge and understanding and encouraging interaction e.g. a celebration day in the community.

A maximum of £1000 can be applied for and money will be available to succesful organisations from July 2010.

Please note these are not drop in sessions and therefore to receive all the information attendance will be required from 10am.

In addition to these grants, information on the Connections to Opportunities funding will also be available at these events.  Please note that this is a separate funding stream and deadlines for this will differ.

The deadline for applications for Round 5 Grants is 4pm Friday 30th April.  Applications can be hand delivered to County Hall or posted via recorded delivery to County Council Grant Application, Community Leadership, County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester, WR5 2NP.
