Chief Executive of County Council speaks at WAVOCC AGM

The WAVOCC Annual General Meeting was held last Friday, 11th July 2008 at the Bradbury Centre, Worcestershire Association for the Blind .
Trish Haines - Chief Executive, Worcestershire County Council was kind enough to speak concerning ‘The Aspirations for the Voluntary and Community Sector in Worcestershire.’ Trish has kindly allowed us to publish her Power-Point presentation below.
Mrs Haines, then took a question and answer session from the floor including queries on; response time and signposting from 'The Worcestershire Hub' to the VCS, and the implications of the Personilisation Agenda.
Her talk was followed by Mike Rockfort of - CSIP
(Care Services Improvement Partnership) who discussed 'Meeting the challenge of an aging society.'
Finally, Jim Smith, WAVOCC Development Officer discussed the rising number of WAVOCC members, and how the increase in web-traffic in the last six months (a website usage increase of 155%) was indicative of the growing usefulness of the WAVOCC WebPages.
