Children and Young People's Plan (CYPP) for Worcestershire 2011-2014
The CYPP is the statutory, strategic plan for all services delivered to children and young people in Worcestershire which is a requirement of the 2004 Children Act.
Worcestershire's current CYPP comes to an end in March 2011. A new CYPP for 2011-2014 will be published by the Children's Trust Board in April 2011. This new CYPP will identify the priorities for improving the lives of children and young people in Worcestershire, and how and when this will be achieved.
In order to produce the new CYPP, extensive consultation will take place between July and October 2010 with a wide range of agencies that play a vital role in providing services to children and young people. Services for children and young people in Worcestershire will be delivered (but not solely) according to priorities identified from consultation and prioritised according to need. As a key stakeholder, this consultation will be an opportunity for you to influence and help decide the key themes and priorities.
The Worcestershire Children's Trust would like to invite you to participate in District-based consultation workshops that will take place in July 2010, details of which can be found on the attached sheet. These workshops are being designed to enable County Councillors, District Councillors, Local Strategic Partnerships and other local stakeholders, including the Voluntary and Community Sector, to have a substantial input in the early development of the CYPP. These workshops will be followed in the autumn by further consultation events to which you will also be invited.
If you wish to attend one of the July consultation events (dates below), please complete the attached registration form and send it to Gail Kemp by Friday 2nd July to Gail Kemp, Project Coordinator, Community Capacity, 39c Ledwych Road, Droitwich, Worcs, WR9 9LA or by email: gkemp@worcestershire.gov.uk Telephone: 01905 827441 Fax: 01905 827794
