Choice and Control - Summary
Choice and Control is Worcestershire County Council's response to Government's reforms of Adult Social Care as laid out in the 'Putting People First' agenda. These reforms aim to give those seeking support, along with their carers, a social care service that is better suited to their individual needs.
Individuals requiring support will have more control over how, when and where they purchase the services they require. In order to be able to do this effectively, individuals will also be given the opportunity to take control of their own budgets and anyone eligible for support services will know the amount of funding that they are entitled to.
