NHS Worcestershire Health Trainer Service
NHS Worcestershire invites interest from suitably qualified organisations (including social enterprise/third sector organisations and other providers) to develop and manage the delivery of Health Trainer Services, which are responsive to the needs of the local population across the six districts of Worcestershire.
The delivery of this service will include:
• Recruitment, training, employment, line management and personal development of Health Trainers consistent with national guidelines and core competencies.
• Delivery of one-to-one lifestyle behaviour change advice and support from a range of easily accessible community venues.
• Promoting and championing the Health Trainer Service throughout Worcestershire.
• Developing relationships and referral networks with voluntary, statutory and private sector organisations working in Worcestershire.
• Collecting and maintaining accurate records and data systems to ensure high quality performance management information is available.
• Ongoing work with NHS Worcestershire to ensure the continuous development and improvement of the service.
The Contract Period will initially be awarded to the successful bidders for three years. NHS Worcestershire expects the service to commence from 1st April 2010.
This procurement exercise is being conducted by the Healthcare Purchasing Consortium (HPC). Candidates wishing to be considered for this contract must register their expression of interest from 8th August 2009 and provide additional procurement specific information through the HPC portal as follows:
i) interested Candidates should register on the HPC portal at https://hpc.bravosolution.co.uk by clicking the link to register - Accept the terms and conditions and click “continue” - Enter your correct business and user details - Note the username you chose and click “Save” when complete - You will receive an email with your unique password (please keep this secure).
ii) Once registered, candidates must express your interest as follows; a) login to the HPC eTendering portal, b) select Response to OJEU advert and PQQ, c) select “PQQs Open To All Suppliers”, d) access listing related to this contract and view details, e) click on “Express Interest” button in the “Actions” box on the left-hand side of the page.
iii) Once you have expressed interest, the PQQ will move to “My PQQs”, where you can download additional documentation (if required), and construct your reply as instructed. You must then publish your reply using the publish button.
