Clinical Commissioning Groups

Change and Opportunity in the NHS

Change

The change in NHS commissioning and the move to 3 Clinical Commissioning Groups covering: Wyre Forest, Bromsgrove and Redditch, and South Worcestershire, has a number of challenges for the VCS:
  • How do the VCS in Health and Wellbeing engage with clusters and make ourselves heard?
  • How do we deliver a collective message of our worth?
  • How do we hear the Clinical Commissionings messages of change, or opportunity, and across three clusters?!

Opportunity

WAVOCC have managed to secure a small funding pot to allow the sector to take the first foundation steps in building Clinical Commissioning/VCS relations. We have already inducted and placed a WAVOCC representative on the Wyre Forest Clinical Commissioning Group - and we really must applaud all involved with the Wyre Forest group in terms of their understanding and usage of the WAVOCC representative structures. The WAVOCC representative – Belinda Derby from Homestart Wyre Forest - has already fedback to the sector and this can be found below in the Wyre Forest area.

(WAVOCC are happy to offer the same constituency support representation for the remaining Clinical Commissioning Groups as they develop.)
