Have your say on the new rights proposed for the NHS Constitution

NHS Worcestershire are conducting the consultation on the new rights proposed for the NHS Constitution. We would be really grateful if you would take a few minutes to complete the consultation yourselves and pass it onto your networks.

The Government wish to engage everyone in the debate on the NHS Constitution. The NHS Constitution was published on 21 January 2009, it brings together, the principles, values, rights and responsibilities that underpin the NHS. It is an evolving document, which reflects the expectations people have of the NHS, and there will be an open and transparent debate on any changes to it.

In addition to the existing 25 rights and 14 pledges for patients and the public, we are asking you to think about the proposals for:

· the right to access services within maximum waiting times

· the right to a NHS Health Check

· the introduction of a number of potential rights

· the introduction of a 'Constitution Champion’
