Health and Social Care Volunteering Fund

The Volunteering Fund provides two distinct grant funding schemes aimed at supporting volunteering in health and social care: a local grant scheme aimed at supporting volunteering in health and social care and a national portfolio scheme through which national organisations will be able to apply for more substantial awards to deliver more strategic or developmental volunteering programmes.

The local scheme is a regionally run, rolling programme and Ecotec (Ecorys UK) are now in the process of assessing applications and notifying successful applicants.

The national scheme for the Volunteering Fund was announced 16 November 2010 by Paul Burstow, MP - Minister of State for Care Services.
