Help Wanted by Age Concern to make a Film about the Credit Crunch

Age Concern Herefordshire and Worcestershire is launching an appeal for volunteers and interviewees to help make a film about the Credit Crunch!

Aspiring film makers and members of the public are wanted to help Age Concern in an exciting new film project called “Tales from a Credit Crunch” which looks at how the Credit Crunch has affected people in Worcestershire.

No film experience is necessary as full training is offered. If you are aged 16-25 or are over 50, all that is needed are a couple of hours a week and an interest in the local community.

Age Concern Herefordshire & Worcestershire would also like to talk to local people of all ages who remember how recession has affected residents in Worcestershire in the past, and people who share their opinions and experiences could see themselves on the big screen at the Worcestershire Festival in 2011.

Charlotte Williams, who is co-ordinating the project said, ‘this is a really exciting opportunity for anyone who is interested in becoming involved in making a film. We want to hear people’s stories and really bring to life the effects of a financial recession. The emphasis has very much been on the global effects, but we want to show the local human side, real people and their day to day lives.

We also want to give an opportunity to people who are interested in the technical side of making a film, and in learning new skills and gaining experience’.

Age Concern would like to hear from anyone who has been affected by the recession and who has experiences, views or memories that they would like to contribute.  Please contact Charlotte Williams on 0800 0086077 or email creditcrunch@achw.org.uk to find out how to take part.
