Nationwide Community and Heritage Awards
To mark a decade of recognising the importance of volunteering, the National Community Heritage Awards scheme has extended the awards to encompass the theme of heritage. They have welcomed the Heritage Lottery Fund as their expert partners in the new awards scheme for 2008. They will be launching these on 18th February 2008. The awards are designed to recognise the work of local heroes in our communities throughout the UK. Members of the public can nominate people and groups who they feel have given outstanding service in voluntary and community work for an award.
