RURAL DEVELOPMENT FOR ENGLAND 2007 - 13 (RDPE) IN WORCESTERSHIRE: SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY PRIORITIES (LEADER)
A small Worcestershire Local Action Group (LAG) has been established to develop/deliver the LEADER approach under Axis 4 of the new Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) 2007-2013.
The LEADER approach will address social and community priorities in Worcestershire’s rural areas. The LAG is required to be a partnership comprising of public, private, community and voluntary sector partners. Worcestershire Local Action Group are currently in the process of writing a Local Development Strategy, it is anticipated that the Strategy will be submitted in the Late Summer/Autumn this year and by winter they would be able to commence delivery.
Worcestershire Local Action Group would very much appreciate input from Voluntary & Community Sector (VCS) organisations into the development of the strategy and action plan which will provide them the strategic context for future targeting of funds and activities. As a first step, they hope you will be able to identify a representative to receive communications and to review/input into the strategy. Subsequently, they anticipate that there will be an appropriate representation for the LAG from the Voluntary & Community Sector based on the issues that have been identified.
They hope that you are able to identify a suitable representative willing to assist us in implementing social and community measures in Worcestershire. If you would like more information on LEADER please do not hesitate to them.
