Self Help Group Partnership Event- A Resounding Success!

Congratulations and a warm Thank You for all who were involved in the Self Help/Self Care Event on 16th November. The day was a great success!

The event was attended by more than 90 delegates, speakers and stall holders and proved to be informative, interesting and educational.

The Self Help Groups video, in particular, was extremely touching and really exposed the true core of what being in a Self Help Group means to the individuals who attend.
A copy of that video will be available here shortly, so please check back.

Some of the views expressed about the event are:

"Excellent, informative day which will help me in my job as a Community Staff Nurse" and  "I plan on putting together a Self Help Group Pack which I can use in my work".

The most valuable thing I learned today was: "the value of joining a Self Help group and the significance of empowering some minority groups to manage SHG" and "the benefits that Self Help can bring to a member's wellbeing and quality of life".

Below you will find the Programme, Speakers Biographies and some of the Presentations that were given on the day.
Other items may be added as they are given, so please feel free to visit this page again.
