Social Reform in the UK: Building the Big Society - 1st December 2010

2 August 2010, 11:30AM - 2 August 2010, 11:30AM

Inside Government would like to take this opportunity to provide you with the full details of our 'Social Reform in the UK: Building the Big Society,'
forum taking place on Wednesday 1st December 2010 in central London. (View the full agenda clicking this link:

In the last 20 years, more than 30,000 new charities have been formed.

The Government's Big Society policies envisage a key role for charities and social enterprises in public service delivery - currently a third of local authority leisure services are run by charities and social enterprises.

With the 'big society' upon us, third sector stakeholders attending this unique, one-off forum will learn more about how the 'Big Society' will be implemented and what it will mean for them.

It will provide key stakeholders with a chance to learn more about the design of the 'big society,' as well as hear about the plans for decentralisation and democratic engagement, and what new powers will be given to charities, councils, communities, neighbourhoods and individuals.

*N.B. Due to the topical nature and exclusivity of this forum, early booking is advisable.
