WAVOCC AGM - Friday 9th July
WAVOCC's Annual General Meeting is to be held on Friday, 9th July 2010 at Sight Concern Worcestershire, the Bradbury Centre, 2 Sansome Walk, Worcester (Tel 01905 723245). The meeting will be followed by lunch.The theme of the day is “Working in Partnership in Health and Social Care Delivery” which aims to investigate ways in which the statutory sector and the voluntary sector work together to better improve the health and social care environment for the Worcestershire community. As ever we have invited key and esteemed speakers to make this day worthwhile. Confirmed contributors to the morning currently include:
• Dr Frances Howie, Assistant Director of Public Health, NHS Worcestershire “The Third Sector and the NHS - Working in Partnership in Health and Social Care Service Delivery”
• Kevin Maton, Network Director, Social Enterprise West Midlands “Social Enterprise: Making a Difference in Health and Social Care”
Speakers will bring us up to date with developments in their particular field of work with emphasis on their relationship and partnership with the voluntary sector.
We would also like to give you the opportunity to attend a post lunch optional discussion group “VCS Opportunities with the NHS” which will include the attendance of Dr Frances Howie, Assistant Director of Public Health, NHS Worcestershire and Sonia Spurr, Community Engagement Manager, NHS Worcestershire.
