WAVOCC Consultation on Contractual Efficiencies
We are carrying out some consultation on contractual efficiencies.Worcestershire County Council are currently undertaking the BOLD initiative which aims to identify £45m of spending cuts. A report from Chief Executive Trish Haines on its cost-cutting ‘Bold’ initiative said likely public spending cuts meant the county expected to have only some 85% of its current budget in the 2011-14 period.
At this time we are asking WAVOCC members to come up with ideas on how to save money in the County. Any sensible idea is being considered, and does not require detailed analysis at this stage but it would be helpful to give some clarification of ideas. As an example, 'we believe that we could cut 10% of the budget from a contract we run for WCC if we do not have to fill in so many forms on a monthly/weekly basis which requires us to spend time administering and not delivering'
