WAVOCC Intergenerational Network Meeting

Attendees braved plummeting temperatures and snowfall to attend the recent WAVOCC Networking Event – community cohesion and generations together in Worcestershire.

Attendees were welcomed by Sally Ellison, Chair of WAVOCC and given an introduction to the work of WAVOCC by Jim Smith, Lead Officer.

The afternoon continued with a presentation delivered by Louise Middleton of the Centre for Intergenerational Practice “Intergenerational work: its beginnings, benefits and future development” followed by a short Q&A.

The highlight of the afternoon was 4 interactive workshops kindly facilitated by project workers from 4 intergenerational projects within Worcestershire, Charlotte Williams of Age Concern Herefordshire and Worcestershire, Lisa Buckley of Worcester Volunteer Centre, Carys Ingham of Connexions and Jo Merrett and Rhian Thompson of Sight Concern Worcestershire.

Please see below for Louise Middleton's presentation, and also Q&A.  Also attached is an attendance and apologies list.
