Community Cohesion and ‘Generations Together’ in Worcestershire

Alan Hatton Yeo – Chief Officer, National Centre for Intergenerational Practice.
In 2009 Worcestershire were one of 10 counties awarded Central Government funds for work putting together generations to aid community cohesion. 50% of these funds were ring-fenced for VCS organisations. Benefits to attendance include:
· An opportunity to network with WAVOCC members
· Gain specialist knowledge of a growing field of work
· Learn how putting older/younger people together in mutually beneficial activities can greatly aid community cohesion.
· Surveying the breadth of intergenerational work already underway in Worcestershire.
